Over countless decades, the heavyweight division has seen some of the most iconic fighters grace the boxing ring with their brilliant boxing prowess. Out of all, Mike Tyson holds a special place for all the reasons in the world. Back in the 1990s, the sport was in search of one flamboyant star. When Mike Tyson arrived, no one imagined that he would become that flamboyant star.

‘Iron’ Mike made his debut in 1985 and never looked back. With his special power and in-ring attitude, Tyson amassed wide fame and attention. Recently, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ shared a compilation of his most special in-ring performances.

In this video, Tyson clubbed some of his best T/KO wins and wrote, “The Ring Leader.”

Back in his prime, Tyson was a highly active boxing stalwart who constantly appeared to give his best shot under the big lights. His iconic style, leg movements, giant neck, and his punching power made him a fan favorite in no time.

Mike Tyson – The youngest heavyweight champ

At 20, Tyson confronted the veteran in Trevor Berbick for the WBC heavyweight title. This fight was expected to be a wild slugfest, possibly going till the last bell. However, it just took a couple of rounds for Tyson to demolish Berbick.

With this win, he registered his name in the history books as the youngest heavyweight champion in history.

The scariest heavyweight of the retro era – Mike Tyson

Tyson never used to rely only on his right hand to crack his opponents. Instead, he always looked to make his jabs, left hooks, and uppercuts super sharp to have more weapons in the artillery.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ used all these weapons to set up his prime weapon, i.e. the big right hand. This made him even more dangerous.

Tyson’s single power-packed punch was enough to floor his opponents on the canvas. The fans hardly saw boxers with that impeccable power and magnitude. That said, Tyson was rightly the scariest heavyweight of the retro era.
