This year, the entertainment industry has a lot to offer for boxing fans who are interested in watching the thrilling stories of real-life boxers. First, the ninth installment of the American sports drama Rocky will hit the silver screen on March 3. Those who have already watched prequels, Creed 1 and Creed 2, are eager to see what the protagonist is putting on the table in the third sequel. Following this highly anticipated movie, a biopic depicting the life story of one of the most ferocious heavyweights of all time, George Foreman, will also hit the theatres.

Foreman, the former two-time heavyweight champion, is widely regarded as the greatest puncher in boxing history. But, he’s been often overshadowed by popular names such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Nicknamed ‘Big George’, the man’s life journey from a troubled childhood to the pinnacle of fame will be depicted in the movie.

He did what Ali and other greats failed to achieve. After retiring from the sport in 1977, Foreman announced his comeback and at the age of 45, he again became the unified heavyweight champion. With this win, he became the oldest man to secure the heavyweight title.

Recently, the trailer of the biopic was made official. On this occasion, Foreman himself shared it on Twitter and caught his fans’ attention.

How did fans react to the upcoming biopic of George Foreman?

Foreman shared the trailer on Twitter and wrote, “The miraculous story of the once and future Heavyweight Champion of the World is headed to the big screen. Watch the trailer for #BigGeorgeForeman, coming exclusively to movie theaters April 28.”

As it circulated, it drew the ire of some fans. A fan wrote, “The story is interesting, but he looks like the Hulu Mike Tyson….”

Notably, this year, Hulu produced a TV series on ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, which earned a lot of controversy for stealing Tyson’s story without his permission.
