Former reality TV show star turned boxer Tommy Fury is gearing up for the biggest match of his boxing career. The British boxer is set to face his long-time rival and YouTube sensation Jake Paul on February 25. However, this isn’t the first time the two have been scheduled to face each other. There have been two instances when they were set to fight in the squared circle but Fury had to pull out of the fight on both occasions. In the first fight, Paul faced Tyron Woodley, while the second event was canceled after the replacement Hasim Rahman Jr also pulled out.
Moreover, he has pulled out on multiple opportunities due to injuries and other unforeseeable circumstances. Despite this, he has managed to accumulate an 8-0 record in his career. This only goes to show that he is skilled as a boxer which was only solidified after a video of his first fight leaked online.

Fury started off the fight in quite an aggressive manner running directly in the range of his opponent, despite him being quite taller than Fury.
He then maintains constant pressure throughout the fight and also lands his jab on multiple occasions. The bout was a back-and-forth contest with the former Love Island Star getting the victory via split decision. Moreover, the fans were left shocked at this performance and gave Tommy Fury props for the fight

The fans were certainly impressed by Fury’s performance and also praised him for it. However, the British boxer has been criticized for not having the boxing pedigree of his brother WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, which is a high expectation to be burdened with. On the same note, many people including UFC commentator and MMA analyst Joe Rogan have publically defended Fury’s boxing ability and vouched for it. Now, can he prove that he is on the level of an elite boxer and compete with the best? Only time can tell.
