WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has battled and overcome a host of mental health problems in his life. As such, after his emphatic victory over former heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko in 2016, Fury was caught up in drugs and alcohol. Unfortunately, he did not enter the ring for more than 2 years and even vacated his championship in the process.
However, The Gypsy King managed to get back up to his feet and then compete in an epic trilogy with his rival Deontay Wilder. Fury’s battle with depression was far from easy. He stated that this was one of the worst periods in his life when he had no motivation to do anything. Therefore, it came as no surprise when The British Boxer shared a video of WWE Superstar Triple H’s confession about his retirement.

‘Chasing Money Again?’: Tyson Fury Branded ‘Desperate’ Following Anthony Joshua Call-Out
Like Fury, the WWE legend also loved what he did. However, at some point, they realized that what mattered more was their family and children who need to be looked after. There are a lot of similarities between both men as they battled through their demons to reach unprecedented heights.
Anthony Joshua accepts Fury’s fight offer
In a surprising turn of events, Fury recently called out his fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua after Oleksandr Usyk declined his offer to fight this year. The Gypsy King initially offered Joshua an 80-20 purse split, but then changed it to a 60-40 split. The fight was initially scheduled for November, but Joshua cited that he could only return by December.
However, AJ’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has come out and stated that Joshua has accepted Fury’s offer. The fight will be one of the biggest showdowns in the heavyweight division with two fellow countrymen putting it all on the line.
