There’s no such thing as bad publicity, right? While true, it could backfire on Jake Paul big time. Even though the world was already abuzz with the chatter of the upcoming fight between Paul and Mike Tyson, it wasn’t enough for ‘The Problem Child.’ What did he do? Well, he decided to mock the Baddest man on the planet through social media.

Paul and Tyson are slated to meet in the ring on July 20 at AT&T Stadium Arlington in Texas, which will be the biggest fight of Paul’s career. So, he is willing to pull all the stops to make it the biggest pay-per-view event of the year.

Turning to Instagram, Paul shared a clip of Tyson training with his coach ahead of the fight. However, Paul spliced one of his own clips into the footage, where he can be seen mocking Tyson’s training session by making bizarre noises after each punch. Tyson had originally shared the clip on his Instagram account with a caption “Back at work.”

Interestingly, Paul had responded to that clip, saying, “He’s the best ever. The most brutal and vicious, and most ruthless champion there’s ever been. And I will defeat him.” But, of course, that wasn’t enough, so he had to mock Tyson with his latest post. Paul’s clip was later picked up by Fight Hub TV, who shared it on YouTube for the world to see! And boy, did the world see. Actually, they didn’t just see it, they were outraged.

Even without fighting, Mike Tyson remains people’s champ

With the blatant disrespect of their favorite boxer, fans turned on Jake Paul as they mocked him in the comment section of the video. One user expressed his disdain with the distasteful video, as he asserted Paul’s fame was limited to the younger audience. The user wrote, “I can’t stand how Jake Paul mocks old men….. this clown has a bunch of little kids thinking he’s an actual boxer worth buying pay-per-view is for.” Given Paul’s background as an influencer and history in Disney, the user might not be far off.

Another user suggested Paul would end up making those weird noises after Tyson unleashes a vicious beating on him. “Jake Paul after the fight with serious brain damage: ‘Ite ite ite ite ite ite,’ wrote the user.” However, with Paul’s expertise in fighting older opponents, the fight may end differently.

Someone else thought it was a pathetic attempt at mocking Tyson and the worst one yet. “Ummmmm I don’t see how this is a mock to Mike Tyson, this is the worse troll I’ve ever seen,” commented the user.

Meanwhile, this user didn’t bother with bashing Paul for the video and outright asserted Tyson will destroy Paul. The user remarked, “Joke Paul gonna get knocked out.” If Tyson’s stamina holds up, Paul could very well find himself kissing the canvas.

One user seemed especially irritated with Paul, who suggested Tyson doesn’t make such noises. Instead, the user thought Paul was mocking the entire sport! The user wrote, “Tyson dont make all them wild noises. Hes just making fun of boxing in general. Crazy to see someone so confident getting ready to fight an old man.”

With that said, Jake Paul seems willing to play the bad guy to promote his fight as much as possible. While there’s no denying that it seems to be working, such antics also seem to garner a lot of hate for the boxer. What did you think of the clip?
