The highly anticipated fight which would see two-star lightweights Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis bringing in the biggest rivalry on the table in the month of April is taking new turns at every step. This super fight for Tank’s WBA lightweight title is matching its hype. The bigger the expectations are, the bigger is drama involved in this entire process. There has not been a single day passed when the boxing stage did not experience any surprising update since the negotiation for the fight started.

Every tiny detail is creating a big difference and the promoters of this so-called mega event did not want to leave any lope hole that would cost them and their fighters later. On Friday this week, the prime promoter Oscar De La Hoya made a big announcement that gave signals that the fight is in jeopardy.

According to him, the rematch clause has become a bone of contention and if the fight did not happen then his fighter KingRy would most likely face the WBC super lightweight champion Regis Prograis. This storyline circulated on the social media platform made fans disappointed. Fortunately, the day after has brought good news.

Michael Benson of talk sports reported on Twitter that the fight is on the verge of finalizing. He wrote, “Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia reportedly now appears to be back on track and could be signed TODAY as PBC have sent over a new contract which would allow Golden Boy to be the lead promoter if Ryan wins and Gervonta activates the rematch clause.”

Sick of the back-and-forth, fans shared their opinion. Though they are happy that finally, this fight is going to take place, they are angry with the drama that is creating problems.
