Even after months of back and forth, it is still not known whether the fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will take place. Paul has been calling out the British boxer for months on social media, accusing him of ducking the fight. Moreover, the situation only worsened between the two after Fury was not allowed to enter the United States citing visa issues. Paul announced on Twitter that he would be moving on from the fight and with just a month remaining for the date of the fight, the situation is still very unclear.

And now Fury’s promoter and owner of Queensberry promotions Frank Warren has stepped up to give an update on the situation

Fury’s promoter comments on the fight with Jake Paul

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, the British Promoter was asked whether the fight between Paul and Fury was off or not and he had this to say,

If he doesn’t get to the embassy in time and doesn’t get his ester which is what it’s all about then it will be.” Warren also stated that he hopes that this will not be the case and tells the reporter to look at the situation from Paul’s perspective, “we’re hoping that’s not going to be the case but understand from Jake’s position and his team they can’t hang around and wait,” he added.

It seems Warren had some harsh advice for Fury and certainly hopes that the Love Island Star can resolve his issues so that the fight can happen.

Who can Paul face if the Fury fight falls through

There are a number of possible opponents for Paul if his fight with Fury falls through. Boxing legend Mike Tyson has hinted that he would be interested in taking on Paul on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Moreover, there have been talks that Paul could also face the former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva. The Problem child could also face Tyron Woodley for the third time to complete their trilogy.

There are many options Paul could explore in case this fight doesn’t happen. However, he is yet to announce another opponent and only time will tell who he will face in the future.
