With all the buzz surrounding Devin Haney and his last fight against Regis Prograis, this was bound to happen. ‘The Dream’ Haney scrubbed the boxing world of any doubts that may have been lingering among people after his close fight against Vasiliy Lomachenko. So, the folks at Ring Magazine decided to update their list of top ten junior welterweights with a special spot for Haney.

It’s worth mentioning that ESPN bumped Haney to the seventh spot from eighth after the Saturday night fight. Also, given the fact that ‘The Dream’ may be planning to climb up to 147 and fight boxing giants, Haney’s current spot might not be final. Besides, when the undefeated boxer discovered the updated list from Ring Magazine, he took a quick trip to X (formerly Twitter).

The Las Vegas resident recently found himself writing on X about his spot on Ring Magazine’s pound-for-pound list. “I’m top 3 P4P.. rather they like it or not,” wrote Haney in his tweet. Josh Taylor and Jose Ramirez followed Haney to the number two and three spots, respectively. However, with all the potential bouts lined up for Haney – a win or loss may dictate his future on the list. Nevertheless, a YouTube sensation turned boxer thinks Haney has already surpassed Terence Crawford

Popular YouTuber ranks Haney above Terence Crawford

In a recent turn of events, high praise for Haney came from none other than Jake Paul. While others praised Haney for his excellent showing, ‘The Problem Child’ went a step further, ranking Haney above the former undisputed champion Terence Crawford. Paul boldly claimed Haney’s last performance puts him in the number one spot in the pound-for-pound list.

“I think this performance puts Haney and Crawford at #1 and #2 pound for pound,” Paul wrote on Twitter. However, it’s worth noting that contrary to what Paul thinks, Terence Crawford still remains at the top of ESPN’s pound-for-pound list. Meanwhile, Haney’s performance could only help him climb one spot in ESPN’s list.
