Boxing legend Mike Tyson has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. During his career, he was the most popular boxer on the planet, dominating the heavyweight division and seeing great success with it.

However, he would suffer a huge fall from grace after his retirement from boxing. Tyson dealt with a plethora of issues, including drug addiction, failed marriages, and other problems that eventually led him to rock bottom. Iron Mike recently gave his two cents on people who are in a similar phase in life.

In his podcast Hotboxin, he had some advice for people who have hit rock bottom. He stated that people who hit rock bottom have a very hard time coming out of it as they are trapped.

The fact is there a lot of that Rock Bottom to destroy them. They never come back up, they stay down and suffocate, they put their own hand over their mouth and nose.” said Tyson.

However, he stated that the only way to beat this was to fight back, as life is a struggle. You know this is about a fight man. Life is about struggle, with no struggle there’s no progress.” He added.

Tyson does have first-hand experience of hitting rock bottom. However, he is one of the few who had the will in him to change his life around from his darkest days.

Mike Tyson spotted in a wheelchair

A few weeks back, Tyson was spotted in a wheelchair at the Miami International Airport. The former champ clicked pictures with his fans as he was rolled through the airport. As per reports, this was due to a sciatica flare-up in his lower back. Iron Mike has previously admitted that he was suffering from this problem and quit boxing because of it.

Moreover, this was only amplified after he suggested that he was going to die shortly in his podcast a few weeks before. Iron Mike’s boxing career had put a lot of strain on his back. This got worse after he suffered from accidents damaging his spine even more.
