The lightweight division has turned even more competitive after George Kambosos Jr. became the unified champion. The entire roster was stagnant because of Lopez vs Kambosos Jr.’s clash. However, the two settled their rivalry, to open the way for other contenders’ shots towards the title.
Now that Kambosos Jr. is the champ, hardcore boxing enthusiasts wish to see him take on the biggies like Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, and Vasyl Lomachenko.
That said, in his latest tweet, ‘Ferocious’ addressed this point. In this statement, he also aimed at a fan for his nasty comments.

Kambosos Jr.‘s fight with Lopez got scheduled multiple times. Also, at one point, it looked as if this fight won’t materialize. But, somehow, this fight came to life and the Australian boxer shook the world by dropping ‘The Takeover’ in round 1 itself.
Post that, both the men entered a vibrant slugfest, hammering each other with their best shots. Even Kambosos Jr. went on the canvas in round 10, but he kept his calm to continue the fight.

Despite both the men going on the canvas, they continued the scuffle until the last bell. Consequently, ‘Ferocious’ had an upper hand over his foe, and he ended up winning the fight via an SD. Now, it’s time for the champ to elevate on his game and lock horns with other stalwarts too.

However, Kambosos Jr.’s fight with Vasyl Lomachenko seems the most ideal at this stage. This is because ‘Loma’, after his loss to Lopez, bagged two wins straight, and he rightly is at the top of the line for a title shot.
