After much rigmarole and discussions, a trilogy between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield is finally on. A fight between the two was discussed ever since Tyson’s last exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. In fact, a few days back, it was reported that this trilogy fell through and won’t happen. But with the ‘Real Deal’s recent comments on Twitter, the pathway for this much-awaited bout is clear.

Holyfield confirmed this trilogy by taking a jibe at his long-time foe, Mike Tyson. He seemed eager to fight ‘Iron’ Mike, even if it’s in an exhibition bout.

The last time Mike Tyson laced up the boxing gloves was against ‘Captain Hook’ in November 2020.

The Tyson vs Jones Jr. fight did extremely well, wherein both the fighters put on true boxing entertainment for the fans. It also accrued a massive 1.6 million PPV buys.

Following this fight, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ expressed his interest in taking up the ring space again, and the Holyfield fight has been on everyone’s radar.

The entire combat sports fraternity saw what happened in the first two fights between Tyson and Holyfield. The rivalry between the pair is etched in the fans’ memories, and they want to see a third fight.
