“To Overlook Is to Be Foolish!” – Amanda Serrano All Set for Her Upcoming Bout Against Miriam Gutiérrez

Amanda Serrano gears up for her 44th professional bout. Widely considered one of the greatest female boxers of all time, Serrano is just one step away from one of the biggest fights of her career. She takes on Miriam Gutierrez on December 18.

If she does end up getting past the Spanish boxer, she will take on Katie Taylor. This fight would be one of the greatest and most highly awaited matchups in women’s boxing ever. This match-up is being touted as the female equivalent of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.

However, Serrano reassures her fans that she is not overlooking her tough Spanish opponent. Serrano is taking Gutierrez very seriously and is looking to put on a dominant performance to ensure she gets a shot against Taylor.

“To overlook is to be Foolish! I didn’t get here by making mistakes, I’m rated in the top 3 P4P next to 2 Gold Medal winning Olympians, hard work & solid performances did that. I’m Not about to think ahead when there’s a huge task right in front of me.” 

Serrano’s opponent Miriam Gutierrez is a tough Spanish boxer who knows how to take a punch. Although she is not a fan favorite to win the fight, Serrano can not afford to take her lightly simply because of what is at stake.

This fight with Katie Taylor has been a long time coming for both the fighters. Because of the pandemic, the first encounter between the two fighters was canceled. If Serrano wins, we may get to see this fight finally take place.

Amanda Serrano looks to set up a multi-million dollar fight with Katie Taylor

Although she has all her focus on her next opponent, Serrano’s coach spoke about plans of a multi-million dollar fight against Katie Taylor. Serrano has openly spoken about how she has been earning way more money from her fights ever since joining Jake Paul‘s promotional company.

Her coach thanked Jake Paul and revealed the pay for the mega fight.

“Kudos to Jake Paul. Amanda’s upcoming fight with Katie Taylor is a 7-figure fight, and it’s because of him that that’s happening. It’ll be the first time in the history of female boxing that both girls are making 7 figures.”
