Logan Paul has been a prominent figure in the YouTube community for a long time. He gained fame by posting vlogs on the platform during his early days. However, Paul has managed to mark in popular culture by transitioning into boxing, WWE, NFTs, and cryptocurrencies, making him one of the most famous people in the world.

Moreover, Paul even outranked Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks in a public experiment conducted by Youtuber, Jon Youshaei.

Paul outranks Tom Hanks

Youshaei posted a video on his channel in which he goes around showing people a picture of Paul and Hanks and asking them if they recognize the pair.

Youshaei asks a person,” Who are these two people?”, to which he replied,” that guy is Logan Paul. I Don’t know who the other guy is”. He then asked another person the same question and even she failed to recognize Hanks.” Logan Paul. I don’t know who the f**k that is.” She told Youshaei, pointing at Hanks.

Moreover, a person even mistook Hanks for another Hollywood star, George Clooney, and called Hanks,” Tom Clooney.” In the end, Paul won the experiment comfortably, scoring 9 points to Hank’s five. Although this experiment might not have been the best way of measuring fame, it does give us insight into the influence Paul has gained over the years.

The Rise of Logan Paul

Paul first found fame on the video-sharing platform Vine back in the early 2010s. However, the Maverick moved to YouTube after Vine got shut down and saw immense success on the platform as well. Therefore, it could be argued that his rise on YouTube was his breakthrough into mainstream culture.

However, Paul then transitioned into boxing in 2018 and made his debut against fellow YouTuber KSI. Since then, he has even faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match back in 2020. The Maverick has also tried his hands at pro wrestling, even making a brief stint in the WWE. Paul is currently focused on his NFT project 99 Originals and his podcast Impaulsive and has also hinted that he might make a return to the squared circle.
