Ahead of his bout this weekend, the 5-0 boxer spoke to the media. He addressed the Jake Paul situation and said Paul is too cunning to put himself in any danger. Fury said the internet sensation is a smart man who has made a lot of money and would not lose out on that by facing a real challenge. He also ridiculed Paul’s decision to fight Woodley.

‘TNT’ then accused Paul of fixing his fights. He said, “What you are going to see is a Jake Paul victory. Somewhere down in the contract, you’re going to see, Jake Paul, W, you know. That’s what he is, he’s not going to fight anybody who can put a test up.”

Fury then added, “He’s not a stupid man. So whatever he does in his career, you can almost guarantee that he wins at the end of it.”

Why is Tommy Fury accusing Jake Paul of fixing his fights?

The comments from Fury will raise a few eyebrows, considering the magnitude of it. It is no secret that boxers have many clauses in their contracts. However, accusing Paul of having a ‘win’ clause is a big statement. So why does Tommy Fury think that it exists?

Paul did not get credit for his last victory despite knocking out Ben Askren in one round. This is because fans noticed how easily Askren went down. And how the referee called off the fight despite him getting up. Moreover, after the bout, footage showed ‘Funky’ in good spirits. Thus, many thought it was fixed. That Askren was following the script and let Paul win.

Fury clearly feels Woodley is taking the bout solely for the massive payday. And thus, if he wants the payday, he would have to agree to Paul’s terms. Which ‘TNT’ believes includes a ‘win’ clause.

Thus, Tommy Fury made no secret of who he thinks will win in the bout and gave his explanation. Furthermore, he even said Paul would never fight anyone who doesn’t agree to these terms.
