Fury would go on to win in a closely contested fight via a split decision. However, many had speculated that Fury’s injured ribs were caused by his brother throwing a medicine ball on his midsection. Tommy ‘TNT’ has revealed that this was exactly the case with Tyson being responsible for his broken ribs.

Tommy Fury reveals how Tyson Fury broke his ribs

In a recent video with former ‘World’s Strongest Man’ Eddie Hall, the British boxer revealed how Tyson broke his ribs. According to Tommy, Tyson had been training him with the medicine ball, a weighted ball used for strength and conditioning exercises. During the training session, Tyson threw the ball at Tommy’s midsection, causing him to suffer a severe rib injury. Despite the injury, Tommy tried to continue training, but the pain was too much for him to bear.

I moved on to the medicine ball, you’ve all seen the video. Yeah, bang, the whole left side of my body quivered after it went down. My dad, Tyson, everyone’s medicine ball on me. Bit too hardcore yeah. Pounding it on Tyson’s stomach and going on to mine is a bit of a difference,” he said.

Although at the time Tommy denied that his ribs were broken by this workout, he has now finally admitted that his brother’s ‘hardcore’ training sessions were responsible for his injury.

In the video, Fury and Hall also exchange body shots to test their power. Hall went first on Fury with his chest protector on. The former went on to punch the latter multiple times, with each hit getting stronger. However, when it came to his turn Hall decided not to wear any protection.Let’s go without (the chest guard), this is where the real test is, Hall said to Fury.

Despite this, the former ‘World’s Strongest Man’ would be in for a surprise as Fury launched a vicious body shot that almost made Hall vomit. “That has really just brought everything up for me,” said Hall in response to the shot. This goes on to show how boxers do pack a lot of power, even giving trouble to people far bigger than them.
