However, although the event will be headlined by a ‘YouTuber’, Fury wants nothing to do with the new age influencer boxing. In an interview with BoxingSource, the British boxer expressed his disdain for this as he sounded off on influencer boxing. He claimed that only he and Mayweather were the ‘real’ fighters on the card, and that he was only here to beat Bamba.

“I’m a fighting man at the end of the day. Me and Floyd Mayweather are the true fighters on this card. You know that’s it. I’m not here for no influencer bo***ks or sh*t like that. I’m not here for any YouTube things. I’m here to fight, I’m here to fight with Paul Bamba on November 13th. It’s a professional fight. It’s gonna go on my record,” he said.

Tommy Fury does not want to be associated with YouTube boxing
Moreover, he added that he was only in Dubai for the fight and urged the fans not to rope him with ‘YouTube boxers’. “ I’m here to do a job a demolition job at that and then I’m looking to leave Dubai and get on to my next fight, you know. Don’t tie me in with all this rubbish that’s going on the YouTube boxing and all sorts of stuff. I’ve named the three people I want to fight and apart from that I’ll fight proper true boxers and that’s it,” he added.
