Trainer Reveals Heavyweight Boxer Who Can Be the ‘Next Tyson Fury’

Tyson Fury displayed his greatness yet again when he knocked out Deontay Wilder in round 11 of their clash on October 2021, relinquishing one of the biggest trilogies in heavyweight boxing history. He is now arguably the greatest heavyweight of the generation, who is seemingly at the top of any other contender. Meanwhile, Fury’s trainer Sugar Hill may have envisioned a surging heavyweight amassing a similar status in the coming years.

In a recent interaction with Behind The Gloves, Hill shed light on several aspects surrounding Fury’s future. The trainer couldn’t help himself from praising the other prospects, whom he believes will see massive success in the future. The interviewer asked him about who he envisions becoming the next Tyson Fury. In response, Sugar Hill had a straightforward answer.

He said, “I don’t like to you know put other heavyweights, you know, below anybody else. But you know there’s one that we always talk about, who is in training camp with us all the time. And that’s Jared Anderson, of course.”

11-0 as a professional, Anderson holds a 100% KO ratio. He has amassed this record in mere two years. But to sustain in the top-chain, he will have to do a lot more. That said, the youngster has already showcased his potential and can follow Tyson Fury’s blueprint to go for bigger heights.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury can return to action shortly. Per reports, he is looking to re-appear in March or April and put his Ring title at stake. Potential contenders like Andy Ruiz Jr. or Robert Helenius are also being touted to go against him. However, the situation is still hazy to grab hold of a picture.

33-year-old Fury has fought battles in and out of the ring, dealing with drug abuse and being overweight in real life. However, he could walk unbeaten every single time. That said, he is truly in a position to inspire the upcoming generation.
