A handful of hours ago, the former world champion turned to the social media platform, sharing a video of him and his girlfriend. “I swear I didn’t know swimming was this tough. I’ve had trauma ever since I was 5 when my [brother] threw me in the deep pool. Enjoy. It’s a fun, cute video,” wrote De La Hoya in the captions. However, this isn’t the first time the couple have been spotted together on Instagram, expressing love for each other. Last year in December, De La Hoya penned a message to Holly, expressing his delight at being with her.

A heartfelt message for Holly Sonders

Oscar and Sonders met in June 2021 during a boxing match while the former sports broadcaster was speaking to the athletes. Fast track to November of the same year, the then-new couple announced their relationship on Instagram. Ever since then, Oscar and Sonders have exchanged small messages through various posts on the platform.

In a post from December, Oscar wrote, “I’m writing this to Holly for all to see because I want you to know how happy I’ve been since I met her. Since the first day, we have never spent a night apart, not because of the simple reason that I love her, and it really pains me to be apart.” He added, “I do want the world to know that I’m in LOVE for the first time in my life.”
