Triller’s Lawsuit Against a 19-Year-Old, Who Allegedly Illegally Streamed Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren, Gets Dismissed

Jake Paul unveiled a successful night for Triller at the Box Office when he stopped Ben Askren in round one of their headlining collision on April 17. However, the official streaming platform, Triller, doesn’t really seem to have had a great time hosting the event. They have accused several people of piracy and illegal streaming and filed various lawsuits.

One of those lawsuits is against a 19-year-old American boy, whom Triller has sued in court. However, the case didn’t stand, and the accused was free of all those charges. That said, it has reportedly enabled Triller to file a new lawsuit against the young Brandon Williams.

Brandon has a YouTube channel, ItsLilBrandon. According to reports, Triller accused Williams of illegally streaming Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on YouTube. They claimed Williams had allegedly demanded online payments from various netizens.

The cases filed in those lawsuits held vicarious copyright infringement, Federal Communications Act violations, and violation Computer Fraud Abuse Act. As Williams was brought in the court in Dauphin Country, PA, Triller further enforced a default judgment against William. It accused him of not responding within 21 days of the whole scenario.

In response, the court has reportedly found no solid evidence against the young netizen. However, the move can alarm the entire black market of piracy, bringing a better fortune for the administrators.

To make things precise, Judge Olguin has passed his solid comment on the woke scenario. The official reports of Judge Olguin said, “Plaintiff’s failure to file the motion for default judgment hinders the court’s ability to move this case toward disposition and indicates that plaintiff does not intend to litigate this action. Thus, having considered the Pagtalunan factors, the court is persuaded that the instant action should be dismissed for failure to comply with a court order and failure to prosecute.”

Meanwhile, Jake Paul has already signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime and will headline an intriguing event against Tyron Woodley on August 29. However, Triller is struggling to find a date for Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr. That said, a lot is going in the boxing world behind the scenes and a lot is hidden to the common fans.
