It’s not every day people celebrate their fathers for doing such an amazing job. However, today, on June 19, the world comes together to celebrate the incredible dads in their lives. Similarly, the boxing world, including Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, etc poured their heart out for their dads.

Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom Boxing and the unified super featherweight champion Mikaela Mayer joined in for the father’s day celebration.

Tyson Fury and others celebrate father’s day

On Sunday, June 19, the boxing community celebrated their fathers endearingly. They took to Twitter and Instagram to show their love and gratitude. Deontay Wilder celebrated father’s day by sharing his new song ‘Everytime’.

Tyson Fury wished his father by posting a picture of the two on a yacht smoking a cigar on his Instagram story. Additionally, Fury posted another story along with his son where the child gifted Fury a doll of him holding Wilder as a child for father’s day present.

Tyson Fury Reacts After Getting Called Out: “I’m the Only Person Who…”

Mikaela Mayer and IBF bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges also took to Twitter to shower their love on this day.

Additionally, boxing promotion company, Matchroom Boxing posted a picture of various fighters along with their dads in the ring, celebrating each moment together. Furthermore, the company’s chairman, Eddie Hearn, wished his father a happy birthday as well as a happy father’s day.

It was surely a heartwarming and wholesome moment to see the boxing community come together and celebrate their beloved dads.

Father-son duos in boxing

There are various father-son duos in boxing where the parent is his son’s trainer and coach. One of the very best duos comes in the form of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sr. According to Mayweather Jr., his dad taught him everything he knows about fighting.

Another such combination is the Ukrainian duo, Vasyl and Anatoly Lomachenko. Anatoly is also referred to as ‘Papachenko‘ by fans as he turned his son into an incredible fighter.

Another renowned father-son-duo is the current undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney and dad Bill Haney.
