Reigning world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his retirement after defending his titles against Dillian Whyte. ‘The Gypsy King’ recently gave an update on his retirement.

Fury posted an Instagram story after his workout session. He initially mentioned that he had a successful workout session. Moreover, he also gave an update on the ‘news‘ that he is coming out of retirement. Fury said, “I just read today that I was supposed to be coming out of retirement. That’s news to me. Far as I am concerned, I am staying!”

In fact, it seems like the champ is sturdy on his decision to retire from the sport.
What’s next for Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury had initially planned to retire earlier. However, he postponed his retirement to face Deontay Wilder for their rematch.
In fact, he pushed the retirement even further to face Whyte in London. Fury stated that he owed the fight to his fans. Moreover, he wanted to end his career on his home ground.

Fury further announced that he was steadfast in his decision to retire after his fight with Whyte. Talking about his retirement, he said, “After this fight, I’m walking away.”
He also added that people do not believe that he would retire. Fury stayed strong in his decision, by saying, “I can live without boxing. I always said, ‘When I walk away, I’ll never come back, never.'”

Additionally, Fury’s wife Paris Fury also gave an insight into what might tempt the champ to make a comeback. In a conversation with Boxing UK, she mentioned she hopes that Fury’s fight with Whyte will be the last fight of his career.
However, she added, he could not resist a fight with Anthony Joshua. Paris Fury mentioned that a fight with Joshua will be enticing enough for Fury to make a comeback from retirement.
