In a conversation with Gareth A Davies on YouTube, Fury said it was a good challenge for him since Campbell is an established fighter. ‘The Gypsy King’ claimed it was a learning curve for Garcia since his opponent had only lost against champions prior to this.

He then gave him high praise and said, “In the end, Garcia showed his true value. And a true champion can get up off the floor and win fights. We’ve seen it with Muhammad Ali, with Tyson Fury, with Ryan Garcia now.”

These comments showed that Fury rates the skills of the young fighter and isn’t bothered with the criticism Garcia receives.

Tyson Fury comments on Ryan Garcia’s bout with Manny Pacquiao

The heavyweight champion spoke about Garcia’s potential fight against Manny Pacquiao. Despite initial rumors suggesting he would take on Gervonta Davis, Garcia revealed he would fight the Filipino next.

Of this fight Fury said, “I hear he’s fighting Manny Pacquiao next so fantastic stuff. It will be good for his career.”

This is an opinion that may surprise many as ‘KingRy’ has been on the receiving end of some criticism for ‘ducking’ Davis.

‘The Gypsy King’ also spoke about the situation in the lightweight division. Like most boxing fans, the Englishman is excited by the prospect in the division and is hoping they can all fight each other. However, if that can happen straight away is the biggest doubt.

Either way, Garcia has a big admirer in Fury. And for a fighter who isn’t interested in the social media aspect of the sport, it will mean even more to Garcia.
