Warren was in an interview with Michelle Joy Phelps, of Behind the Gloves. The duo was talking about the upcoming Fury vs Whyte bout.
In conversation, Phelps asked Warren about his thoughts on the Mike Tyson incident. She asked, “A little bit off topic slightly is Mike Tyson. Did you see the video of what happened with him on the plane?”
Warren nodded in agreement that he had watched it that morning. On hearing Warren’s response, Phelps further added to her question by asking if Tyson’s actions were justified.

In response, Warren mentioned that he understands what Tyson might have felt, especially to have someone intruding on him.
However, he felt that Tyson punching the man was not necessary. He said, “You know beating the guy up is not the way forward, is it? I mean that’s not what he should be doing. I do sympathize when I mean no one knows what this guy was saying behind. He’s obviously touched a nerve, and that’s it. That’s Mike Tyson for you.”
Further, he also hilariously added, “You know until it got stopped, I thought he was just ahead on points.”
Tyson Fury’s thoughts on the incident
However, Tyson Fury’s views on the incident were very different from Warren’s opinions regarding this matter.
Fury was also talking to Phelps ahead of his upcoming fight. Phelps repeated the same question to Fury, asking him to share his thoughts on the incident. In response, Fury thanked his fans and added, “I love the fans! And big up Mike Tyson. He’s a real G like me.”
Mike Tyson’s airplane showdown
Tyson was flying out of the San Francisco International Airport to Florida when the viral incident took place.
A witness mentioned that Tyson was initially friendly with the passengers and even took selfies with a few. The video shows an overly excited guy trying to talk repeatedly with Tyson while seated behind him.
His friend, who is recording, was heard saying, “This is George talking to Mike Tyson bro, this s*** crazy.”
