Tyson Fury Lauds Shakur Stevenson, Katie Taylor, And Amanda Serrano For Their “Great Epic Fight”

The British boxing superstar, Tyson Fury, has been the buzz of the town since his spectacular clash with Dillian Whyte. Along with retaining his title, The Gypsy King also announced his retirement, which came in as an upset to his fans. Albeit, the legendary boxer did not miss out on congratulating some boxers on their recent wins.

Tyson Fury put up a story on Instagram, where he had a message for his fellow boxers. “Big respect to Shakur Stevenson. An excellent performance and a great fight against Oscar Valdez. And a big shoutout to Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano for a great, epic fight.”

Shakur Stevenson proposes girlfriend Lyric after his big victory 

After his victorious win, Stevenson got on his knees and proposed to his girlfriend, Lyric. The audience was already cheering the 24-year-old for his triumphant victory, but his proposal made the Arena even more cheerful. 

On April 30, 2022, the long-awaited fight between Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Shakur’s prowess was evident from the first round. Valdez, on the other hand, landed some solid punches as the fight progressed. Stevenson won by unanimous decision after the 12th and final round, claiming Valdez’s WBC title.

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 

The Madison Square Garden witnessed a memorable fight between the two incredible boxers. The crowd was already excited and knew that it was going to be an exciting showdown. It started with Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, both using their intellect and skills to land the perfect punches. Furthermore, it was a cutthroat competition, but rounds 5 and 6 threw the audience wild as Serrano was dominating the fight with some heavy punches.

The 10th and the final round displayed some massive jabs and robust gameplay by both the fighters. But, the 35-year-old Irish boxer and former footballer was declared the winner, thereby retaining her undisputed lightweight title.

Although The Gypsy King has parted ways from boxing, he tries to stay connected to the sport and appreciates fellow boxers as we witnessed for Stevenson and Taylor. Fury has had a very impressive career and has earned numerous victories and millions of fans around the globe. But there’s a buzz going around that Fury might be having a fight with Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk.
