Tyson Fury is a name that will be at the tip of any boxing fan’s tongue when questioned about the most dominant heavyweight. He ascended to the top, quit the sport, and battled personal demons before making a grand comeback to claim the WBC championship.

He is one of the biggest active draws, and in 2021, he will face his sternest challenge on paper. ‘The Gypsy King’ will fight Anthony Joshua in a match the world hopes will be for all the boxing heavyweight belts.

For now, though, Tyson Fury is relaxed and engaged with his fans with an Instagram Q & A session. Here one fan asked, “How many rounds it would take you to batter Joshua?”

The Gypsy King’ responded and promised to end the unified heavyweight champion within the opening three minutes. He said, “I would batter Joshua inside the first round.”

The comment comes a day after ‘AJ’ claimed he would take six rounds to finish Fury.

Fury has claimed three first-round finishes in his professional career, however, none have come in the last 10 years. Promising an emphatic and quick finish against a man who has beaten five world champions is a testament of Wythenshawe native’s belief in his abilities.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have one hurdle each before their super-fight

‘AJ’ holds the IBF, WBO, IBO, and WBA (Super) belts and must make a defense against Kubrat Pulev later this year. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury must defend the WBC belt against Deontay Wilder

Tyson Fury shocked the world as he doled out insane levels of punishment that prompted ‘The Bronze Bomber’s’ corner to throw in the towel.

Wilder was upset and showed it in the bout’s aftermath, where he asked the referee why the match ended. Subsequently, he invoked the contractual rematch clause.

Wilder could crash the party by denying boxing fans the chance to see all the world titles up for grabs. Kubrat Pulev may look to do the same by stunning Anthony Joshua and given the events of last week, no opponent can be taken for granted.

Joshua and Fury have experienced setbacks of their own too. They are aware of the dangers of an opponent having a superb day in the office.

Andy Ruiz Jr snapped Joshua’s unbeaten streak in the latter’s United States debut and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ scored a brutal knockdown over Fury in their first match, which ended all square.

Both Fury and Joshua responded strongly in the face of adversity and won their subsequent fights. Hence, they may feel confident in predicting the outcome. Fans know that the duo will put in the hard yards and aim to convert their claims into spoilers.
