Taylor will lock horns with mandatory challenger Firuza Sharipova for her lightweight title defense this Saturday at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Taylor has been extremely consistent with defending her titles. That said, she is by far the most dominant lightweight technician. ‘The Bray Bomber’ displays a clean record comprising 19 wins (6 T/KO).

As the Irish boxer was eager to face a top-notch contender for her title defense, she got a worthy opponent in Firuza Sharipova. The Kazakh will look to use her aggression to thwart ‘The Bray Bomber’.

A scuffle between these two has the ability to entertain the vast boxing masses. Hence, fans will be eager to tune into the fight.

What will a win over Firuza Sharipova mean to Katie Taylor?

A win over Sharipova will cement Taylor’s spot as the ultimate queen of the lightweight roster. On top of this, a win will fuel the rumors of her potential fight with featherweight queen, Amanda Serrano.
