Tyson Fury Open to Fighting Deontay Wilder: Is the Anthony Joshua Fight Dead?

A year ago, Tyson Fury destroyed Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC heavyweight strap. Prior to this, the pair fought in 2018 and that fight ended with a controversial draw. However, Fury kept things clean in the rematch and thoroughly dominated the Alabama native.

That said, the spark of this feud is still not over, as the Brit again wishes to touch gloves with Wilder in a trilogy.

Speaking to iFL TV, he said:

But you know Wilder, don’t write Wilder off on the occasion either. He could be fighting me next, who knows? I could have the third trilogy with Wilder. Like I said, a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes and you know Wilder might be next who knows! We’ll see.”

The world witnessed the mighty collision between Fury and Wilder. It went down as one of the best boxing events of all time. But following that win, Fury got into abrupt talks for a fight with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua for the undisputed heavyweight title.

In fact, the contracts for Joshua vs Fury fight are almost done. The fight is expected to roll out by mid-2021, however, no official dates and locations for this collision are confirmed yet.

Moreover, with Fury’s above comments, it seems his contest with ‘AJ’ is in a vulnerable state.

Also, it’s his lifelong dream to claim all the heavyweight titles at the same time. That said, the only relevant fight that Fury has is a 12-round war with Anthony Joshua. Furthermore, without even being official, this bout has left fans in a frenzy.

It is the most epic encounter in the gigantic division, and the combat sports fraternity is eagerly waiting for this bout to take place.
