The legendary snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan equaled Stephen Hendry’s modern-day record by crowning himself with a World Snooker Championship title on Monday. He clinched the title for a record seventh time after outclassing Judd Trump at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre. His victory earned praise from all directions and the boxing legend Tyson Fury is no exception to it.

The WBC and the Ring Magazine heavyweight titleholder took to Instagram and dropped a two-word message on Ronnie O’ Sullivan’s win. ‘The Gypsy King’ shared a picture in his story and wrote, “Big congratulations pal, 2goats together.”

The picture displayed Tyson Fury and Sullivan smiling in one frame. Along with this, he also posted a reply from Sullivan on his Instagram story. The Snooker legend replied, “Thanks T.”

Ronnie O’Sullivan delivered a master class with a near dominance from start to finish. His win over Judd Trump was not only a record seventh victory but also established a new milestone. Sullivan, 46, has become the oldest world champion in the history of snooker.

The evening session began after Trump won six of eight frames in the afternoon. However, Sullivan stole the evening showdown. he claimed four out of the first six frames. Finally, finishing the matchup with an 18-13 win over Trump.

With this victory, Sullivan has achieved a debatable snooker ‘GOAT’ title as he holds all major records in the snooker history. This will also assist him in finishing this session at the Top rank.

Sullivan had bagged the first world title in 2001. Since then, he has never looked back and won other titles in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2020.

Undoubtedly, such a victory deserves to be appreciated and that is what ‘The Gypsy King’ did.
