WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is currently one of the best boxers in the heavyweight division. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ is not yet considered to be among the all-time great boxers mainly due to the lack of competition he has faced during his career. He is also currently not the only champion in his division with Oleksandr Usyk holding three titles to Fury’s one.

This could all change as Fury has now offered Usyk a 70/30 split which many have called him out for. Despite this, boxing legend Mike Tyson feels that Fury could beat the Ukrainian boxer due to his natural advantages. The WBC champion also shared Tyson’s prediction for the fight.

Fury shared a photo from Boxing Exposure on his Instagram Story. The post contained Tyson’s prediction written in the caption. According to ‘Iron’ Mike, Fury will win the fight. However, he added that the British boxer should compete more often like he used to back in the day. Tyson claimed that he fought 15 times a year and felt that any fighter should compete, at least 4 times a year.

“Tyson Fury is going to win, and I think Tyson should fight more. They take too much time in between fights. I fought 15 times in one year. I’m a strong believer of four or five times a year; they should fight,” he said.

Although Fury does possess all the natural advantages over Usyk and can match him in skill, this would not be an easy fight by any means. The former undisputed Cruiserweight champion is one of the most technically gifted boxers ever and will not be shy to explore his options against ‘The Gypsy King’.

Oleksandr Usyk accepts Tyson Fury’s offer

In a recent Instagram video, Usyk responded to Fury’s 70/30 split. He referred to his rival as “greedy” but accepted the offer to fight him on April 29 but wanted Fury to donate $1.2 million to a charity following the fight. “Greedy belly, I accept your offer. 70/30 split the fight with you on April 29 at Wembley. But you will promise to donate to Ukraine immediately after the fight £1 million. And for every day of your delay you will pay 1% from your purse to Ukrainian people,” said Usyk.

It seems that fans might finally get to see the two champions fight it out for ‘undisputed’ status. However, this confirmation is not set in stone as there has been no written agreement between the two parties, but rather a verbal one.
