The Joshua-Fury fight has been the talk of the sport for months. And while Anthony Joshua has shared regular updates of his relentless training, Tyson Fury recently claimed he stopped training. However, it is not because the potential undisputed title fight is in jeopardy.

‘The Gypsy King’ spoke to iFL TV on YouTube and said, “Until I get a date and they say, ‘right, you’re going to be fighting in June, 15th, Antarctica. Then I go back into training camp. I only need six-seven weeks’ training anyway, for these bums.”

This comment showed different aspects of the reality of the fight. First, it revealed ‘The Gypsy King’ does not know the date of the event. Moreover, it also confirmed that there is no location for the bout as yet. Therefore, Fury is sticking by his pessimism regarding the fight even happening.

Tyson Fury reveals who he is sparring with to prepare for the fight

Fury has maintained his stance that the fight is not close. Despite rumors and both promoters suggesting otherwise, the champion is apprehensive of the event happening. However, if the fight is to go ahead, Fury has revealed his sparring partners.

The 30-0 champion said, “I don’t need no big, great sparring partners for a methodical, bodybuilding type guy. I just need the local bin men and firemen and local strongmen.”

With this comment, Fury shut down Joshua’s boxing ability and predicted an easy win.
