

Anthony ‘AJ’ Joshua extended his ties with his first-ever promotion company, Matchroom Boxing, which is operated by the well-known promoter Eddie Hearn. Despite re-signing with his first promotion company, Joshua’s business relationship with Hearn may have encountered a small hiccup that could lead to some negotiations.

Eddie Hearn struck a business deal with DAZN for the telecasting rights of his events for five years, but this may prove to be a problem for Anthony Joshua’s fights. Per a Dan Rafael tweet, Joshua is poised to remain with Sky Sports as the platform that will broadcast his bouts in the UK. This may lead to both Sky and DAZN (via Matchroom) claiming UK broadcast rights for AJ’s bouts.
‘AJ’, who has been Matchroom since his professional debut, had had a lengthy relationship with Sky Sports as well. It doesn’t look like this will change come July when Joshua and ‘The Cat’ have their rematch. So, it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks until the fight.
