The time is finally here as Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury duke it out in the ring. However, the fight itself is surrounded by controversy. Just hours ago, reports revealed that Usyk won’t be allowed access to his cross during the fight. However, Fury was allowed to keep his beard during the bout. And now, this!

You see, a rule was also announced that said if a punch lands under the navel, it will be considered a low blow. Meanwhile, Fury seems to have come into the fight wearing shorts that people feel are higher on his waist than ever before. This has led to a plethora of comments on social media, poking fun at Fury’s appearance and the controversy.

Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk: Off to an unusual start

Just moments ago, DAZN Boxing shared a clip from Fury’s locker room, where Fury can be seen wearing red shorts. It’s also worth mentioning that fans had accused His Excellency Turki Alalshikh of compromising the integrity of the fight by openly voicing his support for Fury. Regardless, the fight seems to be going underway with Fury’s unusually high shorts.

The pair initially met in May when Usyk managed to secure a split decision win. Fury has since promised vengeance and even booted his father Joh Fury from his corner, whose antics last time around sparked a backlash from fans blaming Fury’s father for the loss. All that aside, Fury’s shorts seem to have stolen the limelight.

Fan claims shorts make Tyson Fury look funny

After months of anticipation, it didn’t take long for Fury’s shorts to go viral. One user could not believe the organizers were allowing Fury to wear the shorts that high up. “There’s NO WAY that he can get away with those shorts,” the user wrote. However, it appears the fight has nearly started.

Another user poked fun at Fury for the shorts. “Them shorts look mad funny on him😂😂😂😂,” wrote the user. Well, it’s not meant to look good, it’s meant to do its job.

Someone else accused the Saudis of rigging the fight. “Fury getting away with the beard and now his shorts are up to his fucking neck. Saudi have paid for an upset here folks,” the user wrote. However, there’s no evidence of the same.

The next user seemed perplexed with Fury’s shorts. “Can you actually wear the belt on the chest? 🤣,” the user asked. Since the Saudi Boxing Commission is letting it happen—then it’s quite possible.

One user roped in rapper Snoop Dog. “Christ, Tyson Fury’s shorts are higher than Snoop Dog,” the user wrote. However, it may look that way because of Fury’s height.
