The reigning behemoth of the heavyweight division, Tyson Fury, recently surprised fans by revealing that he will come out of retirement. Boxing fans have since been curious to know who will fight the flamboyant ‘Gypsy King’. In fact, Fury recently opened up about who his potential opponent might be.

Fury was in an interview with Ariel Helwani after the WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales. In conversation, Helwani asked him about his future fights. In response, Fury mentioned, “I’m gonna be fighting very soon, against we don’t know yet. We’re still looking for an opponent.”
Moreover, he also added that he will be fighting by the end of the year. Helwani further asked him if he will fight Oleksandr Usyk. Fury responded by mentioning that Usyk will not be ready to fight and that he would fight any opponent that his promoter, Frank Warren, chooses.

This was when Helwani mentioned the UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou. In response, Fury said, “No chance. I think he’s out with a torn ACL.”

He further added, “It’s not dead. It’s not available right now. The man’s injured.”
While it is unclear who his opponent will be, it sure is certain that boxing fans are excited about the prospect of Fury making his return to the ring.

Tyson Fury takes a nasty swipe at Oleksandr Usyk
Oleksandr Usyk had recently defended his heavyweight titles against Anthony Joshua. Moreover, he also won the vacant The Ring heavyweight title.
Oleksandr Usyk: "Fighting Tyson Fury in December is impossible. First, I have old injuries. Second, I just don't want to box in December. I haven't left the gym for half a year, I want to be with my children, my family. Boxing can wait a little. Next year I think it will happen."

When asked about fighting Fury in December, Usyk mentioned he will be unable to do so. He mentioned he was suffering from old injuries which would make it impossible to fight in December.

Fury responded by taking a nasty swipe at Usyk. He said, “Saying you got injuries, you ain’t got no injury. It was a sparring contest. Get out and fight in December, see if you can back it up middleweight.”

Additionally, Fury also stated he is certain to defeat Usyk irrespective of when the fight takes place.
