WBC champion Tyson Fury has been fighting battles throughout his life, both inside and outside the ring. Despite facing those obstacles, on a near regular basis, ‘The Gypsy King’ rose above them all to become one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.
While he knows the weight of carrying a fight in life, Fury recently wished a seven-year-old good fortune. The kid is reportedly battling with Meningococcal Septicaemia.

Reports from Nottinghamshire Live suggest that Fury sent a video to the young boy, admitted at the Queen’s Medical Center.
The boy named Michael Mcdonagh was taken into medical care after displaying the symptoms of meningitis. Following the medical tests, he was diagnosed positive for the disease.
However, Michael is known to be a boxing fan, and he just received a warm gesture from one of the finest of the sport. Fury sent a video to the kid and said, “This is a special message, a get well soon message, for Michael Mcdonagh. Get well soon, kid, all the best. Take it easy, God bless you.”
The WBC champion has also sent some toys and gifts for Michael, as his mother Mary says, “Tyson’s obviously a traveler and we’re travelers as well – and, in times like this, travelers always stick together.”
Michael has reportedly garnered well wishes from other combat sports superstars including the likes of WBO super-middleweight champion, Billy Joe Saunders and former Bare Knuckle sensation, Paddy Doherty.
Fury and his real-life battles
Like Michael, Fury had his own complications in his personal life. From dealing with over-weight issues to fighting drug addiction, the Brit has witnessed it all.

That said, he has overcome all the hardships to become the greatest heavyweight of the modern era. The undefeated Tyson (30-0) has held all the world titles of boxing.
Yet, he vows to remain active further with an intriguing trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder on-the-way. If Fury wins again, he would then have to defend the title against the winner of the fight between Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte.
