Tyson Fury is one of the biggest names in boxing. Despite his fame, the undefeated heavyweight champion has often shown his support to young British fighters coming through the ranks. And ‘The Gypsy King’ has now endorsed another young British talent.
Fury, who is preparing for two mega fights with Anthony Joshua, has shown his support to the son of former British boxing icon, Ricky Hatton. The WBC heavyweight champion said he was excited by the prospect of Campbell Hatton and his return to the ring.

The 30-0-1 boxer took to his Instagram account and shared a photo of Campbell Hatton from his professional debut and wrote, “Looking forward to seeing young @campbellhatton back in the ring in his home city of manchester.” Fury then added, “Exciting times for the city.”
This showed how highly Campbell Hatton is rated in the domestic scene. Despite carrying the pressure of the Hatton name, Campbell Hatton made a successful start to his professional career with a dominant victory.

After the fight, promoter Eddie Hearn announced that Campbell Hatton would return to the ring on the Derek Chisora vs. Joseph Parker undercard on May 1. Therefore, it is another big stage for the young fighter.

Why is Tyson Fury excited about Campbell Hatton?
Fury is one of the most brutally honest boxers in the world. The undefeated champion does not mince his words when disregarding the hype surrounding fighters. So how come Tyson Fury is excited about Hatton’s return?
In his first fight, the son of the former multi-weight world champion showed glimpses of his talent. While it was not a perfect performance from the young Brit, the 19-year-old ‘Hurricane’ displayed speed and movement similar to his father.

Fury is himself a boxer who relies on his movement to outsmart his opponents. Therefore, it is no surprise that Hatton impressed ‘The Gypsy King’. In addition, it was his pro debut on a PPV event. Despite this, the young fighter showed no signs of nerves.
Thus, it is easy to see why Fury is excited about the 19-year.
