It will be the biggest spectacle of the last two decades when WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury enters the ring against IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in ten days for the undisputed clash at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, something else seems to have taken the boxing world by storm ahead of the fight.

It’s something no one saw coming, and no one has ever heard of before in the history of boxing. Days ahead of the big fight, Riyadh Season, Jacob and Co. and Sotheby’s have collaborated to unveil a bespoke ‘Ring of Fire’ watch, destined to immortalize the event. And it’s all thanks to Turki Alalshikh, who shared a promotional video of the watch on social media.

Who will get the twin watches?

Late yesterday, the Saudi Royal hopped on X to introduce the watch to the masses while revealing there are only two such watches made. One is destined to grace the undisputed champion’s hand, and the other will be auctioned to the highest bidder through Sotheby’s. He even revealed that proceeds from the sale will be given to “the ‘Make-A-Wish International’ charity.”

So, talkSport editor Michael Benson picked up the development and shared the same with his followers. He wrote on X, “A special watch has been released ahead of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk on May 18th…” When the boxing world discovered the shiny and stylish timepiece, they seemed to have gone haywire in anticipation of the impending clash on May 18.

Fan speculates the price of the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk watch

The last undisputed heavyweight champion was Lennox Lewis in 1999, so in anticipation of getting one after two decades, the announcement of the watch received a diverse set of responses. One user speculated about how much such a watch may cost. While in reality, it might go for millions or even billions, the user playfully suggested a $200 price tag.

Meanwhile, the next user could not deny the exquisite craftsmanship or the promotional video put together to announce the beauty. After all, it’s an exclusive piece, the likes of which are unlikely to be made again!

Another user found themselves not only appreciating the watch’s beauty but all in awe of the video’s production quality, comparing it to big-budget television productions. Since His Excellency is involved, it was bound to be extravagant.

Someone else was contemplating buying the watch but was stopped by the idea of incurring severe debt for it. Watches from Jacob & Co. are expensive, to begin with, but given the exclusivity and the occasion, the watch will likely be a really expensive souvenir for some billionaire.
