Hard work beats skills! However, will it be enough to beat the monster that lies dormant within Mike Tyson? In a recent pinch, Jake Paul, the former Disney star, turned to social media, sharing a motivational training clip ahead of his fight against Tyson on July 20. Despite a valiant effort from Paul, the clip seems to have failed it’s mission!

If there is one thing Paul never skips out on, it has to be training! Over the years, it’s his training that has gotten him so accustomed to fighting the elites in various disciplines of combat sports. However, he seems to have bitten off more than he can chew by accepting to fight Tyson! At least that’s what the folks on social media say.

Turning to Instagram hours earlier, ‘The Problem Child’ shared the clip in question with a motivational quote from Eric Thomas echoing in the background as Paul worked on his conditioning. He captioned the clip, “No excuses. July 20,” in an effort to hype up his fans about the impending clash, or doom, in his case.

Undeniably, the YouTuber-turned-boxer is putting his all into his training sessions! However, regardless of his training and motivational lines from speakers, the fact of the matter is that fans are still unconvinced that ‘The Problem Child’ has what it takes to defeat the guy, whose mere presence in a room could terrify his opponents.

Jake Paul supporter, switches teams

Paul has fought dangerous opponents before; take Nate Diaz, for example. ‘The Stockton’ slugger could have beaten the snot out of Paul, but ‘The Problem Child’ emerged victorious. Despite that, Tyson’s experience and power, even at 57, were too much for fans to ignore. One user completely dismissed Paul’s video and training, as the user asserted Tyson would put Paul in a coma. The user wrote, “LMAO at that speed Tyson will put you in a Coma.” While Paul has faced incredible fighters, he hasn’t faced someone with one punch knockout power like Tyson, so the user might not be wrong.

Another user, who claimed to be a longtime Paul supporter, switched sides, suggesting Tyson is on a whole new level. “I’ve always cheered for you, but MT is above your level,” the user commented. Who wouldn’t when Paul’s opponent was once called the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet?’

Meanwhile, this user raised questions about Paul’s physique. The user wrote, “Every time I see him, [am] I the only one [thinking], he’s not in shape? His stomach [is] bulging.” Notably, Paul is still in camp, and his opponent is heavier than him. So, there’s a chance he could be trying to put on some weight.

Despite Paul’s work in the video, this user seemed unimpressed, claiming all this training isn’t enough to vanquish Tyson in the ring. “Not enough, Mike Tyson is still gonna win,” the user commented. However, only time can tell whether the user’s bold claims hold ground.

While everyone else seemed to have given up on Paul, this user still rallied behind the YouTuber with some words of motivation. The user wrote, “Keep working hard, man. Road to World Champ.” However, fighting Tyson wouldn’t make Paul the world champion; it wouldn’t even get him a regional belt.

Regardless of how motivational his social media videos are, Jake Paul can’t seem to convince all his fans that he stands a good chance of defeating Mike Tyson. However, Tyson will be 58 years old when he fights Paul. So, who knows? Anything can happen! Do you agree? Let us know in the comments!
