The upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin bout is one of the most exciting trilogy showdowns in the sport. And, it seems like regular boxing fans aren’t the only ones excited about the matchup. In fact, UFC heavyweight contender, Rodrigo Nascimento, had a special request for UFC President Dana White.

Nascimento faced Canadian fighter, Tanner Boser, on September 17, 2022, as a part of UFC Fight Night. The bout that took in the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada, saw Nascimento win by decision.

In the post-fight interview, he had a rather intriguing request for Dana White. Nascimento said, “I wanna say something. I’m a big fan of Canelo and GGG. Aye Dana, Meek, Sean, you, I really really want to go there. Give me two tickets, please. Canelo fight.”

There is no denying that the Alvarez vs Golovkin showdown has a lot of people at the edge of their seats in anticipation. And, Nascimento’s request acts as a further statement to cement the same.

Triple H opens up about Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin
It is worth noting that the UFC is not the only fight federation that had a few words to say about Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin 3. In fact, WWE’s CCO and former wrestling superstar, Triple H, shared his thoughts on the same.

Triple H initially gave his opinion on how both the fighters have been career-wise. He said, “Canelo over the years has just improved right every single year. I feel like you see him the improvement level is intense. GGG is on the other side of probably what he wants to be age-wise in his career.”

However, he also added that Golovkin is a technically skilled fighter. And, that Alvarez should be wary of showing any weakness, lest Golovkin take advantage of the same. Triple H also stated that his heart says that Golovkin will win, while his head says Alvarez will emerge the victor.
