Anderson Silva has proved yet again how versatile he is as a fighter. Everyone expected Anderson Silva to win his fight against Tito Ortiz. However, no one expected the manner in which he won the fight.

In the very first round of the fight, Tito Ortiz pressured and backed Silva into the corner, throwing body shots. The nimble Silva channeled his inner Muhammad Ali, ducking and weaving all his punches, then catching ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ with a counter right that put him to sleep.

‘The Spider’ annihilated Ortiz with a first-round knockout even though Ortiz came in five pounds heavier than Silva. Ortiz failed to make weight, but the fight still went on. After his impressive fight against Ortiz, many UFC fighters and boxers came out with what they think will be the perfect next matchup for Anderson Silva.

Claressa Shields, Michael Chiesa, and even Jake’s former opponent Ben Askren think Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul vs Anderson Silva is the next fight to make. Jake Paul just improved his unbeaten record to 4-0 with a split decision win over Tyron Woodley. Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley became the second UFC fighter to be beaten by Paul.

Before fighting Woodley, Jake knocked out his close friend Ben Askren in the boxing ring. The Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva fight, however, does make sense since Silva has called out both the Paul brothers before he fought Ortiz.

Anderson Silva calls out the Paul brothers

Right after Jake Paul won against Tyron Woodley, Silva remarked in an interview with TMZ about the possibility of a fight between the two. “Everything is possible. Jake Paul and Logan are doing a lot of good work in this new entertaining show. We’ll see. I respect both. [Jake] is doing good, working hard. So, we’ll see, maybe this is possible too,” he added.

In July this year, talks between Silva’s camp and Logan Paul‘s camp were also reportedly underway for a fight between the two. Silva wanted to fight the older Paul brother after his successful eight-round exhibition against Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. Would you like to watch Anderson Silva fight either of the Paul brothers inside the boxing ring?
