The legacy match between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn was recently called off after Benn failed to clear a VADA drug test. The latter was found with clomifene, a banned substance that resulted in the bout being called off.

Moreover, Benn’s doctor Usman Sajjad might have outed Benn on this issue after he revealed how the majority of boxers use PEDs before fights. He also claimed that it was relatively easy to not get caught with these substances, which makes the situation even more sketchy.

However, IBF Flyweight champion Sunny Edwards felt that Sajjad was exaggerating the number of fighters using performance boosters. He claimed that as a sports doctor, Sajjad was speaking very casually without fear of the consequences of his bold claims. This coupled with the fact that he is a BBBofC licensed doctor made this claim shocking for Edwards.

In my opinion, Dr Uz has spoke way too openly for someone claiming to be a sports/boxing doctor. To go as far as saying 80/90% of fighters dope & he has a list of how many on his site is OBSCENE. He’s@BBBofCuk license.” He wrote.

Sunny Edwards claims Benn’s doctor might have proved his violation

This was not all, as he posted another tweet stating that Sajjad’s claim might have outed Benn. He also added that Antony Fowler and Benn, who recently failed drug tests, might need some answers for their doctor.

Just listened to it. Basically blew the lid on the whole thing in my opinion. Think@afowler06has got some questions that need answering for Dr Uz. Especially as he failed in September confirmed and Benn worked with Dr Uz from early august confirmed.” Edwards wrote.

Edwards certainly feels that the situation with Benn has now been made clear after his doctor’s bold claims. If what Dr. Sajjad claims is true, there is a high possibility that Benn might have taken some banned substances under his guidance.
