YouTube sensation Jake Paul recently suffered the first loss of his professional boxing career. The now 6-1 boxer lost to his long-time rival Tommy Fury via split decision in a close fight. However, this was not the only damaging thing that Paul would see as he also got into a confrontation with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr,

The Problem Child has been very vocal about Mayweather even challenging him to box him in an exhibition bout. Despite this, when the two came face to face, Paul ran away fearing for his well-being. The two accidentally met at the end of a Miami Heat game where Mayweather along with his entourage, confronted the YouTuber. However, a video recording of the altercation showed Paul running after ‘Money’ Mayweather and his crew trying to get near him. Many people felt that running away from Mayweather was the right move for Paul but new footage shows why he ran so quickly to get away.

New footage reveals why Jake Paul ran away from Floyd Mayweather

New footage released by Happy Punch shows a person from Mayweather’s team trying to catch Paul. However, the 26-year-old barely escapes and runs to save himself from getting brutally beaten up.

Although many have called out Paul for running away from Mayweather, it is understandable why he did so. The Ohio-based boxer was surrounded by a lot of people who were allegedly more than willing to hurt him. In this situation, he chose the smart thing to do and avoid having physical fights.

Paul fires back at Mayweather after the altercation

The YouTuber took to social media and shared his side of the story. In a Tweet, he called out ‘TBE’, claiming that the option for a one-on-one fight was always open. However, he also took shots at Mayweather stating that he should not have pulled up with multiple cars and people trying to jump him while he was just trying to enjoy a basketball game.

“Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night.” he wrote.

Although Paul does make some good points, he is still not completely innocent. ‘The Problem Child’ has had a long history of beefing with Mayweather and has challenged him on multiple occasions. Moreover, he even took the former champion’s hat during his brother’s exhibition which even led to a brawl. Now, it seems that Paul might be looking to settle his differences in the ring as another exhibition bout between the two might be on the cards.
