After his upcoming fight against George Kambosos Jr. in Triller Fight Club on June 19, Teofimo Lopez, the unified lightweight champion, will return to ESPN and Top Rank. The 23-year-old has been a long-time representative of Bob Arum’s promotions. However, the relationship appeared tainted a few months back.

Lopez appeared vexed with the financial deals he received from Top Rank after winning against Vasyl Lomachenko. This saw his title defense head to purse bids which Triller won. Per a social media post, ‘Take Over’ will earn at least $6.02 million from his next fight.

However, a win will bring him back to Top Rank with a better financial deal. According to the reports of badlefthook.com, Joe Tessitore broke the news on the night of Stevenson vs Nakathila. As per his statements, Teofimo Lopez has already signed the papers and the contract would last till 2023.

Meanwhile, Lopez’s nearing clash with George Kambosos Jr. would be even more critical now. If ‘Take Over’ losses his titles and the undefeated tag, it would garner criticism and affect his stardom. However, if he bags a win, we can see the American superstar return in October. Already a PPV star, Lopez can secure some of the biggest matchups on his return to Top Rank.
