Canelo Alvarez ranks among the most cosmic faces of boxing today. He has hung around the sport for a while now and has truly established himself as the pound-for-pound king. Not only that, but the Mexican boxer is also among the highest-paid athletes in the world, maintaining a lush lifestyle. But, where does Alvarez actually live?

Saul Alvarez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is currently residing there. He likes to keep his life private and limited to a certain number of people, and not much is known about his property there.

However, until 2015, the veteran lived in Del Mar, San Diego, California. in an 11,970 sq. ft home that had every exuberant amenities. This house comprising 6 bedrooms, high ceilings, sea view, and much more got sold for a mammoth £6m. Ever since then, Alvarez hasn’t quite bought a colossal property in the USA.

Alvarez debuted in the sport in 2005 and became a fan favorite in no time. In his vast and decorated career, the 30-year-old has suffered just a single loss. This came against the best ever in Floyd Mayweather. But that does not take away all that he’s achieved over a large part of the last two decades. ‘Canelo’ has become a champion in every division he has featured

Moreover, he walks down as a favorite in every fight he enters.

Alvarez fought just once in 2020. However, he has his eyes keenly set on competing at least thrice this year to compensate for his previous year’s in-ring hiatus.

Alvarez dominated the Brit Callum Smith in his last fight. With that win, he solidified his spot in the 168-pound division. On February 27, Saul Alvarez will defend all his super-middleweight titles against the Turkish boxer, Avni Yildirim.

Canelo wants to become the undisputed 168-pound champion and has set that as his priority for 2021. Following the Yildirim fight, he’ll challenge Billy Joe Saunders for his WBO belt.
