Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, recently revealed why his highly anticipated fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury fell through. The pair were set to face off against each other to claim the right of being the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis. However, the fight fell apart after negotiations between the two camps were hindered. Moreover, despite Usyk accepting a 70/30 split in favor of the WBC champion the camps still could not reach an agreement.

The Ukrainian boxer has now come out and revealed that he was not happy with how the process dragged around for months. In a recent interview, he claimed that he was happy even though the fight fell through. According to him, he could now return back to his home and not have to negotiate with a person only looking to exploit him.
