VADA Makes an Announcement on Devin Haney and George Kambosos Jr.

The highly anticipated rumble in the lightweight division between the Australian warrior George Kambosos Jr. and WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney is most likely to turn June 5 into a memorable date in the year 2022.
Meanwhile, akin to every professional boxer, both fighters will go through an anti-doping test prior to their mega-event.

The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) welcomed the pair. Their official handle, named Vada-Testing.org, gave an update on Twitter.
The Tweet said, “@Vada_Testing welcomes @Realdevinhaney @georgekambosos to our program as they prepare for their June 5,2022 bout in Australia.”
Notably, VADA is an organization that offers and promotes effective anti-doping practices and programs in boxing and mixed martial arts.
The intense exchange between George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney
George Kambosos Jr. clashed against the then-unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion, Teofimo Lopez. He outpointed Lopez in the jam-packed Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in November 2021. Following his victory over Lopez, ‘The Emperor’ became an overnight star.

Since then, ‘The Emperor’ has indulged himself in a verbal beef with the current WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney. Prior to their fight confirmation, the duo threw insults at each other. Moreover, the heated exchange on social media platforms created a pretty intense hype as both undefeated stalwarts boosted their phenomenal figures.
The fight is going to take place on June 5 in the home country of ‘The Emperor’. The Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia will be the venue for Kambosos vs. Haney clash for the undisputed lightweight crown.
Ahead of their clash, in their kickoff press conference, Kambosos said, “There are only two names I asked for this moment, [Vasyl] Lomachenko and Haney. Haney stepped forward and we will take his belt.”

Meanwhile, Haney agreed to fight Kambosos Jr. in Australia with the undisputed throne in the row. Haney believes, “I think Kambosos is a great fighter, and now I’m finally facing a guy who is in his prime and coming off the most important fight of his career.”
Interestingly, Haney is also coming out of one of the greatest battles of his career. He thrashed the challenger, Joseph Diaz, via a unanimous decision.
