Former unified Lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko is one of the greatest boxers ever to step foot in the ring. The Ukrainian had an amateur record of 396 wins and one loss having one of the best amateur resumes ever. Therefore, it is safe to say that he knows the ins and outs of boxing and is highly educated about the sport. However, this might not be good news for Ryan Garcia who will most likely face Gervonta Davis this year as Lomachenko gave his prediction for the bout.

Garcia and Davis are currently two of the hottest prospects in the division. Moreover, their heated rivalry has made fans eager to see the pugilists in the ring for a long time. Despite this, a fight between the two has never materialized yet. However, this could all change this year as both fighters have shown a lot of interest in facing each other.

Vasyl Lomachenko shares his thoughts on Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis

In a recent interview with FightHype TV, Lomachenko was asked how Garcia would perform against. According to ‘Loma’, the fight will be an interesting one as both Garcia and Davis encountered some problems in their recent fights. However, he claimed that ‘Tank’ would get the better of Garcia. “It will be a very interesting fight because we saw Ryan Garcia in a problem vs Campbell. We saw a problem in Davis vs Romero. So it will be very very interesting and I think Davis will win but nobody knows,” he said.

The Ukrainian boxer seems like he has put his money on ‘Tank’ to get the victory. In addition, when asked about how Davis will get the victory, Lomachenko had a stern warning for Garcia.

The former unified champion claimed that although he had sparred against Garcia, it was not a huge problem for him. Moreover, he added that ‘Tank’ would finish Garcia and not let the fight go to the judges. “Yeah I sparred with him but it was not a big problem and I think Davis will finish him,” he said.

Lomachenko is confident in Davis to get the job done in April. However, he has recently pleaded guilty to multiple traffic violation crimes that are feared to put his fight in jeopardy. Moreover, in a sport like boxing where fights can get called off last moment nothing is a surety until the fighters meet in the ring.
