Ryan Garcia and Luke Campbell’s face-off was quite anti-climactic, to say the least. The two will fight in a 12-round main event on January 2nd after they had to postpone the initial date.

The pair were originally slated to meet on December 5th, 2020. However, Campbell tested positive for COVID-19 and could not make the fight. Despite all the obstacles, the two finally came face to face.

Since there was such a long time between the announcement and the fight, there has been ample time for a verbal battle. The two have engaged in a back-and-forth on multiple occasions and have not held back.

Garcia said he is going to turn the Brit into Campbell soup and worries about his health. While Campbell has pointed out that Garcia is fake and his social media status means nothing.

So naturally, everyone expected the two fighters to have a hostile face-off when they did eventually meet. However, after the press conference, the two come together for pictures.

For safety reasons, there was a transparent barrier between the two, and that played a part in the subdued face off. Although fans who love the drama in the sport will still be disappointed as there was no trash talk involved.
