VIDEO: Ben Askren Attempts to Threaten Jake Paul While Landing Awkward Punches on Punching Bag

The Jake Paul vs Ben Askren fight is one highly anticipated boxing event of 2021. After much rigmarole and talks, the duo will finally enter the boxing ring on April 17, to confront each other. That said, both of them have spent countless hours in the gym to prepare for this confrontation.

Recently, the former UFC welterweight, Ben Askren, released a video on his official Instagram handle and issued a fiery warning to ‘ The Problem Child’ while landing enormous blows on the punching bag. Amusingly, ‘Funky’ had a punching bag with Paul’s face on it.

In this video, Askren shared a compilation of his confrontation with Jake Paul from their official face-offs.

The rift between Paul and Askren began when the former called out the retired MMA star after a thrilling knockout win over Nate Robinson. Not just Askren, but ‘The Problem Child’ even mentioned the former UFC double champ, Conor McGregor, and his teammate Dillon Danis in his post-fight call-out.

Moving ahead, the rivalry between Paul and Askren caught fire when they began trading verbal punches with each other through social handles and interviews.

Is Jake Paul an easy opponent to crack for Ben Askren?

‘Funky’ has enjoyed a vibrant career in MMA and has showcased his skill sets several times. Throughout his MMA run, Askren relied heavily on his wrestling compared to his standup abilities.

However, in preparation for this fight, ‘Funky’ immersed himself in rigorous boxing workouts and he is extremely keen on putting on a clinical performance against his nemesis, Jake Paul.

Considering the respective skill sets both fighters bring into this fight, it’ll be interesting to see who pushes the boundaries to register a crucial ‘W’ on their resume.

This fight will be a sturdy test for both Askren and Paul, but the awkward punches may worry boxing purists who are rooting for ‘Funky’ Ben to end Paul’s unbeaten run in the sport.
