The former UFC welterweight, Ben Askren, will compete with his arch-foe, Jake Paul. The pair will touch gloves with each other on April 17 in a cruiserweight contest. Askren, who’s been primarily a grappler in his illustrious MMA career, is keen to lace up the boxing gloves to shut the ‘Problem Child’.

But being an MMA fighter first, ‘Funky’ cannot control his urge to grapple or choke out people. That said, he was in a podcast alongside Logan Paul and his friend, George Janko. In this podcast, Askren hilariously tried to choke out Janko, leaving him staggered.

Janko narrated this whole incident on his own YouTube channel. He said, “I am going to be releasing some cuts of the Impaulsive episode, where we had Ben Askren. I call Ben Askren because he gives me a headache when he takes my freaking head and pulls it in.”

In the Impaulsive podcast, Janko sat right next to the former UFC star. And suddenly, the latter grabbed his neck and tried to choke him out lightly.

But as the podcast went ahead, George Janko edged over Askren this time and tried a neck choke on him. Everyone in the studio cracked up laughing, and it was a comical vibe.

Despite his inquisitiveness for wrestling, Askren won’t be able to do the same against Jake Paul on April 17. He will have to throw both his hands with sheer speed and power to dispatch the 24-year-old.

Will Jake Paul upset Ben Askren?

With just 2 fights/wins to his professional resume, Jake Paul has risen to paramount stardom. Ever since his last win over NBA star Nate Robinson, Paul has stirred the combat sports universe.

Over the past few months, he engaged in several verbal spats with some top-tier boxers and MMA stars.

Both of Paul’s wins have arrived over non-fighters, and this will be the first time when he’ll actually face someone from the fight universe.

Despite this, Paul will have an abrupt advantage over ‘Funky’ as he has a slight in-ring experience. Furthermore, Paul has bagged a major chunk of his MMA wins because of his ground game compared to his standup audacities.
