Anthony Joshua and Canelo Alvarez are two of the prime personalities of the boxing world. Hailing from different countries and weight classes, they both have certain similarities. Both of them have been world champions in their respective division and are superstars in their own right.

Although they haven’t shared many glorious moments together, Joshua seemingly became a part of Alvarez’s celebration after he grabbed the WBA super-middleweight title in 2018.

Following a win over Rocky Fielding via TKO, Alvarez became a three-division champion. Meanwhile, heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was present at ringside and saw his fellow professional create history. While Alvarez was showing gratitude towards the live attendance, he noticed Joshua and applauded the Briton’s presence.

He expressed his respect for Joshua and appeared thankful for his presence in the arena. In response, Anthony Joshua smiled and showcased his love for Canelo Alvarez.

As the Mexican gears up for his upcoming super middleweight title defense, the throwback clip will rekindle fond memories in the minds of the fans.

What’s going around for Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua?

Mexican superstar, Canelo Alvarez, will defend his WBA and WBC super-middleweight titles against Avni Yildirim on February 27. If he wins, he will encounter the undefeated WBO champion, Billy Joe Saunders, in May. IBF titleholder, Caleb Plant, is also on his radar as the P4P King envisions to unify all the bets.

Already a four-division champion, Alvarez is just 30-years-old and is also one of the most active pugilists of the era. Thus, he is looking to achieve a lot more in his career, before calling it a day.

WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, is fresh from his successful title defense via TKO against Kubrat Pulev. He will now face WBC champion, Tyson Fury, in one of the biggest boxing clashes of all time. Despite hinting at retirement, ‘AJ’ might accept a bunch of more fights after Fury. So, it’s safe to bill a glorifying future for the champion.
